Lake Dardanelle State Park invites the community to a day of service, fun and awareness on Saturday, Sept. 27 as we host National Public Lands Day (NPLD), our Great Arkansas Cleanup. The event will take place in the day-use area of the park located next to the Visitor Center.
From 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. join park staff as we celebrate NPLD, the nation’s largest single-day volunteer effort. As part of this nationwide day of volunteerism and stewardship, we will be hosting our Great Arkansas Cleanup, sponsored by Keep Arkansas Beautiful. To mark the occasion, we will be conducting cleanups and conservation projects both within the park and in the community. Supplies are provided through Keep Arkansas Beautiful and volunteer t-shirts will be available while supplies last.
A cookout-style luncheon featuring hamburgers, hot dogs, chips and drinks will be provided for volunteers across from the Visitor Center following the cleanup.
For additional information or to sign up to volunteer for NPLD please contact the Lake Dardanelle State Park Visitor Center or Park Interpreter Mollie Mason at 479-967-5516 or email LakeDardanelle@Arkansas.com.
