Event details

Public lands are more than just destinations, they are spaces for recreation, community, and connection - much like our own homes! Join us at Lake Mendocino this National Public Lands Day to tidy up around Our Home Outdoors. Deer Camp, a unique section of Bushay Campground located on the northeast side of the lake, is ready for your love and care. Join us as we rebuild, rearrange, paint, weed whack, plant new trees, and pick up garbage. Come prepared in clothing appropriate for the weather and the tasks: close-toed shoes and long pants. We'll provide protective hand, ear, and eye-wear and all tools/materials necessary. Check in and sign waivers morning-of at location. From Ukiah, take HWY-20 east, go past the lake, just after crossing the bridge, turn left onto Inlet Rd (across from Vista Del Lago Rd), follow the road along the river until you see us near Bushay Campground's entrance station. Hope to see you there!
