National Public Lands Day - Middle Fork Trail
Volunteers will hike down Powerline to the Middle Fork junction. There will be some structure repair and gravelling in a turnpike. Hiking will be easy to moderate and no more than 2-3 miles for the day

Event details

Volunteers will hike down Powerline to the Middle Fork junction. They will perform some structure repair on the Little O'Malley trail step & run and will gravel in the turnpike to bring it up to grade. Volunteers will meet at the Glen Alps lower parking lot. 

What to bring: Rain gear, sturdy work/hiking boots, snacks, water, sunscreen, long work pants, and work gloves and safety glasses if you have them (if you don't have gloves/safety glasses they will be provided for the day). 

What NOT to bring: Alcohol, drugs, children, pets, and firearms.

Notes: Hiking will be easy to moderate and no more than 2-3 miles for the day. No experience is necessary, but volunteers should have a minimum ability to hike and work for 6 hours during potentially inclement conditions and on uneven terrain. This event is open to volunteers age 12 and up. Volunteers under the age of 18 will need a parent or guardian present.
