Event details

September 26th is National Public Lands Day. Come join us in the Fells and improve trails and drainage with us!

We'll meet at the Greenwood Park parking lot (look for the Friends of Fells Truck) and hike to our trail work sites about 10 minutes away, carrying hand tools. Be prepared for the weather, bring a water bottle, and any gloves or tools you prefer to use. We'll have gloves, shovels, rakes, buckets, and other tools for our purposes. We'll be doing some rock work, culvert repair, dead hedge fencing and some other trail related tasks.

Please bring a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, bug spray, your own reusable water bottle, and a snack, if you would like one. We recommend wearing sturdy closed-toed shoes, long sleeves, long socks, and pants to help prevent exposure to poison ivy or ticks.

Please note that the Greenwood Park parking lot is located immediately across from the Stone Zoo.

Please note that there are no restrooms at this site.

If registration is full, please contact Charlie at chasmccabe@gmail.com. We'll most likely be able to include you.
