NPLD 2025
Lend a Hand, Care for the Land! Connect with your public land on National Public Lands Day 2025 at Midewin National Tallgrass Prairie. There will be three projects to choose from - Seed harvesting from seedbeds, seed harvesting from a restoration site, and brush cutting along a trail. Bring a sack lunch and stay after the projects for a raffle and photo opportunity with Woodsy Owl. Morning snacks, water refills, PPE, and necessary tools will be provided.

Join us for our National Public Lands Day 2025 event at Midewin National Tallgrass Prairie. There are three projects to choose from 1. Seed harvesting from seedbeds; 2. After the projects we will come together to enjoy lunch (bring your own), raffle off some great prizes, and have the opportunity to meet Woodsy Owl. Check-in begins at 8:30am, followed by a Welcome and Safety message from our Prairie Supervisor. Projects will wrap up at 12pm, followed by lunch. Event site is River Road Seedbeds.
