Join the Love Your Lands Challenge! Bureau of Land Management New Mexico is hosting a social media challenge inviting you to showcase how you fulfill one of the 7 Leave No Trace principles on your favorite BLM lands!

During the month of September 2025, complete and post a photo or short video to Facebook, Instagram, or X demonstrating one (or more!) of the 7 Leave No Trace principles on your favorite BLM NM public lands. Tag Bureau of Land Management New Mexico in your post.

Show your post at your local New Mexico BLM office between October 1 and December 31, 2025 to receive a fee-free coupon for public lands, while supplies last.  Fee-free coupons allow free entry for one person for one day at participating federal recreation or visitor sites within one year.  One fee-free coupon per person in video/photo, with max of 4 fee free coupons per post.

Leave No Trace Principles (go to https://lnt.org/why/7-principles/ for more detailed information):

  1. Plan ahead and prepare
  2. Travel and camp on durable surfaces
  3. Dispose of waste properly
  4. Leave what you find
  5. Minimize campfire impacts
  6. Respect wildlife
  7. Be considerate of others

Below is a list of NM Bureau of Land Management offices where you can collect your fee-free coupons between October 1 and December 31, 2025. Please check with the local office for their operational hours.
