The Long Point Trail is one of the highest visitation trails at New River Gorge Park and Preserve. Join the NPS Trail Crew in rebuilding a heavily impacted segment of trail. As part of this event the crew, with help of volunteers, aims to rebuild approximately 150 feet of trail with elevated timber causeway and rehabilitate the surrounding area. Work will include moving and installing timbers and gravel as well as drainage repair with hand tools. Check in begins at 8:30 at the Long Point Trailhead and a safety briefing will start the work day at 9:00 AM.
