Blacksmithing was an essential craft that was in high demand during the building of permanent settlements in the 1700-1800s. Come and watch a demonstration of basic blacksmithing techniques, and learn about the history of the craft and how important it was in building Foster Falls into what it would become in the late 1800s. Feel free to ask the ranger any questions during the demonstration. Drop by anytime between 12 p.m. and 3 p.m. at Shelter 2 in the Historic Village of Foster Falls.
