Bio-Blitiz NPLD at the Glacial Passage Area
Join National Park Service employees and volunteers conduct a Bio-Blitz for the 161 acres of NPS land within the Glacial Passage Area. In order to help with the Bio-Blitz, volunteers will utilize iNaturalist to report species within the project area during a set duration of time. BioBltiz's help the park create a species list, support the parks understanding of biodiversity, help the park make informed decisions about management, and helps the community build a greater understanding of nature.

Volunteers will need to have an active volunteer agreement, this can be accomplished by reaching out to IATR or signing up on the link for volunteer.gov. Volunteers are encouraged to gain familiarity with iNaturalist prior to the event, but if that is not possible, on the job training is available. Some experience identifying plant and animal species is appreciated, but you can be paired up with someone more experience if you are here to learn.
