Join us for a day of hands-on conservation as we work together to restore and protect our local natural environment. This land restoration event is an opportunity for community members, volunteers, students, families, and nature enthusiasts to make a meaningful difference while learning about the importance of healthy ecosystems.
During the event, participants will assist with a variety of restoration activities, which may include removing invasive plant species, planting native vegetation, collecting litter, improving wildlife habitat, and other stewardship tasks based on the site's current needs. Tools, materials, and safety instructions will be provided, and experienced staff or volunteer leaders will guide participants throughout the event.
No prior experience is necessary, and everyone is welcome. Whether you're volunteering for the first time or have participated in restoration projects before, your efforts will contribute to creating healthier landscapes that support native plants, wildlife, and the surrounding community.
Please wear closed-toe shoes, long pants, and clothing suitable for outdoor work. We also recommend bringing a reusable water bottle, sunscreen, a hat, and work gloves if you have them (a limited number of gloves may be available on-site).
Together, we can restore natural habitats, improve biodiversity, and leave a lasting positive impact on our environment. We look forward to seeing you there and working side by side to care for our shared natural spaces.
Participants are encouraged to register in advance through Volunteer.gov to help us plan for attendance as there will be a limited number of fee-free-day vouchers (50) and to ensure adequate supplies. Walk-in volunteers are welcome and may participate by arriving at the event and completing a volunteer sign-in and liability waiver form before activities begin.
