Join the Indiana DNR and Backcountry Hunters and Anglers, for a Beginner Fly Fishing Workshop on Sept. 26 from 2 p.m. – 5 p.m. ET at the Orvis store in Carmel. Fly fishing is a great activity that doesn’t take much to get started and will help you enjoy the outdoors in new ways. This adult-oriented (16+) workshop will cover casting instruction, gear selection, basic knot tying, equipment, and safety. The class will consist of a 30-minute lecture followed by hands-on activities to help build your fly-fishing knowledge and practice skills you may use in the field. Participants can expect a small amount of walking. Clothes and shoes you don’t mind getting a little bit wet are recommended. Participants do not need to bring any gear with them. Backcountry Hunters and Anglers will have a follow up social event that is optional after the class. Please register to attend this free workshop. See you there!
