Tumbleweed Removal
This Saturday volunteer event will focus on removing invasive species (Russian Thistle aka Tumbleweeds) from the Piedras Marcadas Canyon Trail system.

The event lasts from 9 am to 11 am and is open to anyone who wants to lend a hand. Trash bags will be provided. Please wear gloves, long pants, and a hat. Bring plenty of water with you as there are no refill stations at the trailhead. Meet at the Piedras Marcadas Canyon parking lot at 9 am (address: 9501 Golf Course Rd NW ABQ, NM).

Registration is open September 8 through September 19. We will be pulling young tumbleweeds along the hiking trail. Volunteers must wear gloves. Any minors wishing to participate must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
