Event details

On Saturday, September 27th, volunteers can get out in the tallgrass prairie with park rangers at Pipestone National Monument from 9:00am – 11:00am to help take care of this important cultural site!

Volunteers can choose between collecting native seeds that we will replant next year or removing invasive species that crowd out the native plants. No experience is necessary, and all the tools needed will be provided - just bring layers and sturdy shoes (we will have gloves available, but feel free to bring your own as well)!

Volunteers will receive a complimentary lunch at 11:00 AM and a token of thanks from the park.

Please RSVP so we know how much food to order by either calling (507-825-5464 ext. 222) or emailing at gabriel_yellowhawk@nps.gov

This event is free and open to the public. For more information, please call 507-825-5464 ext. 222 or visit the park website at www.nps.gov/pipe. Event details and program schedules will be posted on the park Facebook page at www.facebook.com/PipestoneNPS
