Do I need to register in advance to attend?

Yes, for volunteers under 18, a "Volunteer Agreement Form" needs to be signed by a parent/guardian, and groups over 5 need to register ahead of time. Please email the Volunteer Manager at cristobalcs@ptreyes.org for more info.

Will we be hiking to the work location?

Yes, our work site will be a short walk (0.2 miles) from our designated parking location. Do note that we will be walking on sand dunes with inclines so please wear comfortable and sturdy closed-toe footwear.

Will bathrooms be available at the worksite?

Yes, there are two outhouse bathrooms located at the main lighthouse visitor parking lot which is about a 5-minute walk from our meeting location.

What should I bring to the volunteer event?

All necessary tools and safety equipment like gloves will be provided by park staff for all volunteers. We will also provide snacks and water, but we ask that volunteers bring their own water bottle and bring warm layers as the weather at the lighthouse can be foggy with high winds.
