Celebrate National Public Lands Day by helping park staff remove the invasive plant Japanese Stiltgrass! Removing stiltgrass makes room for native plants to grow, like bloodroot, striped wintergreen, and trillium species!We ask that volunteers wear the following:Long sleeves (will be working around poison ivy; we have Tecnu soap that will be available for use after you finish up)Long pantsClose-toed shoesGlovesWe will have bug spray and sunscreen available for use. Please bring water! Also, stiltgrass is relatively easy to pull, so no tools are required- just hands!
