Celebrate National Public Lands Day with us at Silver Springs State Park by giving back to the land we all share and enjoy. This volunteer event offers something for everyone, including native plant gardening, trail maintenance/ guided hike, and a ranger-led interpretive program throughout the morning and early afternoon.
All tools will be provided, and volunteers should come prepared with closed-toe shoes, clothes that can get dirty, water bottles, gloves (if available), insect repellant, and sun protection.
Check-in begins at 8:30 AM for any volunteers who are not currently registered with Florida State Parks. A Short-Term Volunteer Agreement will be available on-site for those who are not pre-registered. Project work will begin promptly at 9:00 AM.
Youth under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the duration of the event. Scout troops, corporate volunteers, and other community groups are encouraged to participate!
Park admission is free for all participating volunteers. After the program, volunteers are welcome to enjoy the rest of the day exploring the beauty and history of Silver Springs State Park.
