Do you enjoy working outside? Come join us on September 27th to celebrate National Public Lands Day -- an event that honors our public lands through conservation volunteers (like you!) who help restore and improve our parks' health. No prior experience is necessary.
Where
Theodore Roosevelt Island is a beautiful, peaceful sanctuary that sits on the Potomac River, nestled between Washington D.C. and Arlington. We will be focusing on the northern part of the island, working to remove invasive vines.
Please use the coordinates listed, they will take you to the parking area, where we will meet at the far end near the bridge. Once everyone has arrived, you will be led to the event location.
What to Bring
Please wear long pants, long sleeves, and closed-toe shoes (sneakers or boots are recommended). Tools and gloves will be provided on site. Make sure to bring plenty of water!
Registration
Registration link will be provided soon.
