Event Title: National Public Lands Day: Nature Walk at the Trail of 100 Giants

Celebrate National Public Lands Day with an immersive and educational guided nature walk through the Trail of 100 Giants, one of the most beloved and accessible groves of Giant Sequoias in the Sequoia National Forest.

Led by local conservationists and naturalists, this walk will take participants along the fully accessible 1.3-mile paved trail that winds through a breathtaking stand of ancient Giant Sequoias—some over 1,500 years old and towering more than 200 feet tall. Along the way, you'll learn about the ecological significance of these majestic trees, their role in the forest ecosystem, and the ongoing efforts to protect and preserve them in the face of wildfire, drought, and climate change.

This event is open to all ages and is ideal for families, nature lovers, and anyone interested in public lands, conservation, or California's natural history. Attendees will also learn about the importance of National Public Lands Day, a nationwide day of service and appreciation for the green and wild places we all share.

Highlights include:

  • Guided educational tour with local experts
