Event details

The Trucha Rosilla Day-Use Area is publicly accessible fishing spot right along the San Juan River. This project aims to restore this area by restoring an existing walking path, clearing vegetation, and picking up trash.

We will be meeting at the Trucha Rosilla Day-Use Area at 10am. Following a brief introduction and safety talk, volunteers will begin work. Volunteers are asked to drive their personal vehicles. Carpooling is recommended and highly encouraged. The location is just off a main road and does not require specialized vehicles to navigate the location. Tools and gloves will be provided.

Following the work, volunteers will caravan to the Simon Canyon Recreation Area (a 15-minute drive away) for a provided lunch.

After lunch, select BLM staff will provide a brief interpretative walk to a nearby archeological site.

To RSVP for this event, please email the listed contact by 8/29.
