This year's NPLD event will be held at the Wardel/Harrington Reservoirs and will focus on three components geared more toward wildlife impacts. The Reservoirs are located approximately 6 miles S-SW of the town of Otto, WY located in the Bighorn basin in Northwest Wyoming. To get to this location Travel South from the town of Otto on County Road 16 to where the road designation transitions to County Lane 45. Follow County Lane 45 to the Wardel Reservoir boat ramp.

We ask everyone to meet in the gravel parking lot/boat ramp for Wardel Reservoir (the lower reservoir) at 9:00am for orientation and directions before getting started.

Again, this year's event will feature three projects, the first project includes removing approximately 1,100 feet of woven wire fencing and replacing with single strand wire providing relief for wildlife. The second project will reconstruct bird boxes to be installed along the same fence line being repaired to provide updated nesting structure. The third project will be standard trash clean-up of the most frequented areas along the shorelines and access ramps of the reservoirs primarily used by recreational users.

Folks are encouraged to wear close toed shoes appropriate for field work and to bring leather gloves. All supplies and tools will be provided by BLM.

For more information, details please contact Cullen Hardy at the Worland BLM office. (307) 347-5150 or chardy@blm.gov.
