The Angeles National Forest invites you to volunteer in the Wildwood Picnic Area to Clean, Care, and Connect on National Public Lands Day on Saturday, September 27, from 8:00 a.m. - 12:00p.m. by conducting habitat restoration, improving recreation areas, and giving back to our public lands. On-site registration will begin at 8:00am and we will kick-off the event around 9:00am. Thank you to our partners and volunteer groups for your ongoing support.
Reservations are required, as space is limited! (Eventbrite link: TBA)
Important event information:
All participants are encouraged to carpool. Parking is first come, first served.
Please be prepared to work outside and get dirty/wet. Bring water, clothes for varying weather conditions, closed-toe shoes, and a desire to give back to your public lands.
If you will participate in habitat restoration work, you will be required to wade in water and get wet. Please bring closed-toed water shoes and a long-sleeved shirt.
If you will participate in painting, be prepared for wet paint.
Tools may be limited in number, so feel free to bring your own masks, grabbers, buckets, gloves, etc. with you. As a reminder, if you are feeling ill, you are encouraged to stay home.
Minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian with a signed consent form. Please complete sections 3-19 and 28-35 of the following form and email it to sm.fs.anfvolunteers@usda.gov: https://www.fs.usda.gov/sites/default/files/OF-301a-Volunteer-Service-Agreement-expires-10-31-24.pdf. The parent or legal guardian must sign all forms, including section 34 and 36.
