We work with our corporate partners to develop relationships that bring value to both partners. For this reason, we don't have specific models or fixed levels for our partnerships. We believe that the best relationships grow and develop based on mutual need and interest.

AOL

AOL offered NEEF an advertisement spotlight by featuring our environmental education efforts in the “Make a Difference” promotional module on their homepage. AOL’s “Make a Difference” homepage promotion increased NEEF website traffic significantly on the advertisement’s specified days.

Baxter

Baxter Healthcare Corporation provided early support for NEEF's asthma and outdoor activity work. More recently, Baxter supports NEEF as we integrate public health across all our work. Additionally, NEEF is proud to call Arthur J. Gibson (Vice President, Environment, Health & Safety, Baxter Healthcare Corporation) our Chairman Emeritus.

Beveridge & Diamond, P.C. supports NEEF with their legal expertise and provides space for our board meetings.

Bonnier

Bonnier Corporation has supported NEEF in several capacities: Country music artist Josh Thompson first designated NEEF to benefit from the proceeds of his performance at a Field and Stream conservation event. Later, Outdoor Life selected NEEF for an Open Country grant and helped us leverage additional support via an Indiegogo fundraiser for National Public Lands Day.

Cisco

Cisco Systems, Inc. provides NEEF with Cisco WebEx online conferencing services, saving both NEEF and our partners time and money. WebEx services were fundamental to developing NEEF's virtual Business Sustainability Education Roundtable.

Culture One World

Culture ONE World provided pro bono creative services in support of NEEF’s Energy All-Star fan engagement campaign in partnership with NBA Green.

Google AdWords

NEEF is pleased to use the Google's AdWords service to increase our publicity based on targeted keyword search terms.

Hispanic Communications Network

The Hispanic Communications Network, which manages a national network of Spanish-language radio stations and airs daily environmental programming, provided airtime for NEEF's Spanish-language messaging, from the benefits of trees in urban environments to water issues in the Chesapeake Bay region.

Johnson & Johnson

Johnson & Johnson Consumer Inc. provided a sponsorship for NEEF to update SunWise program materials and promote them to formal and informal educators nationwide.

Mary Kay

Mary Kay Inc. provides general support to NEEF which celebrates the legacy Mary Kay founder Richard C. Bartlett has given NEEF.

Nickelodeon

NEEF has partnered with Nickelodeon around several efforts, including the Get Dirty Challenge video contest where youth showed us how they are "getting dirty" to help the environment—from planting trees and healthy vegetables to digging recyclables out of the trashcan.

PwC

PwC Green Teams have donated general support and provided in-kind support by using their accounting expertise to develop online financial training modules to assist small nonprofits like NEEF's Friends Groups grantees. Additionally, NEEF is pleased to benefit from the board service of Shannon Schuyler (Principal - Chief Purpose Office, Corporate Responsibility Leader, PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (PwC US); President, PricewaterhouseCoopers Foundation).

REI

Recreational Equipment, Inc. (REI) has partnered with NEEF in support of National Public Lands Day. REI has also provided in-kind support in the form of camping gear, tents, backpacks and water bottles as prizes for NEEF contests.

Samsung

Samsung Electronics America, Inc. partners with NEEF to advance the environment as a portal to STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) teaching and learning. Samsung is the official national sponsor of NEEF’s National Environmental Education Week. This partnership grew out of NEEF-Samsung collaboration on Samsung's Solve for Tomorrow award which challenges teachers and students to show how STEM can improve the environment in their communities. The company also provided seed funding for our virtual Greening STEM Learning Center and prizes like cameras and laptops for our contests.

Spectrum Brands

NEEF partners with Spectrum Brands around their day of service event, “Clean Land, Clean Water, Better Community.” Annually, employees in several Spectrum communities around the nation lend a hand at local lands and waterways, and the company provides grants for community partners to extend the impact of its day of service.

Toyota

Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc. is the National Sponsor for National Public Lands Day (NPLD). Toyota saw the program's promise when NPLD had just a handful of sites and a few hundred volunteers and helped us grow it to become the nation's largest, single-day volunteer event for public lands in the United States. NPLD now engages over 200,000 volunteers at more than 2,600 sites in every state, the District of Columbia and U.S. territories. Toyota has done more than just write a check to support this terrific program. Toyota employees have been involved in caring for parks, forests, rivers, beaches, shorelines and other public lands as part of NPLD before the company became a sponsor and the tradition has continued ever since.

With Toyota's generous support, NEEF expanded NPLD into the Public Lands Every Day Program. NEEF, with Toyota's support, offers grants to the community-based groups ("Friends Groups") that care for America's public lands year-round. These groups run events, publicize the facilities and activities available at parks, and engage volunteers in activities to preserve these green spaces. NEEF technical assistance helps these groups become more effective while the Toyota grants allow them to program events year-round.

Together, Toyota and NEEF are strengthening America's connection to public lands. NEEF is also pleased to have Kevin Butt (Regional Environmental Director, Toyota Motor North America Inc.) on our board of directors.
