Prep on Friday, September 26th, camp overnight, and remove graffiti and garbage on Saturday, September 27th.

Beaver Lake Volunteer Day is an annual event in Arkansas dedicated to preserving the health and beauty of Beaver Lake. The event features shoreline and boat-based litter cleanups, with volunteers encouraged to bring their own boats. After the cleanup, participants gather at Hickory Creek Park for a lunch and a educational booths, where organizations shared data from Secchi Day and discuss efforts to protect the lake. The event underscores the importance of community involvement in maintaining water quality and promoting environmental stewardship.

Celebrate National Public Lands day by joining us for this three-day volunteer event, hosted in partnership with the BLM San Luis Valley Field Office. This project will focus on improving habitat and breeding conditions for the Gunnison Sage-Grouse, an endangered species found in the San Luis Valley. This year, we’ll work in a new location near Villa Grove, building on the success of similar efforts in previous years.

Volunteers will focus on enhancing the trailhead and nearby areas of Arroyos Del Sol. Tasks include staining and improving fences, removing encroaching weeds, and performing partial trail maintenance to ensure the area is safe and welcoming. You may also assist with installing signs to improve navigation for visitors. Early in the morning, you may catch views of rising hot air balloons and spot local wildlife, making this project a rewarding way to connect with the outdoors.

Celebrate National Public Lands Day and be a steward of the Great Burn ecosystem. Cleanup an old trash pile and help naturalize the scar followed by some sauntering and wandering in this hidden gem so close to Missoula.

Trail work day, improving hiking trail conditions in/around Green Mountain Falls, Colorado. Work may include cutting trail backslope, smoothing and flattening trail tread, , improving/ reinforcing switchbacks and rock steps, cleaning drainage diverts, and pruning back vegetation overgrowth.

Join us for our 40th annual lake Allatoona shoreline clean up. Be one of the 2000-3000 volunteers to help collect tons of trash. Scouts, school children, area residents, businesses, civic and church groups, and others come together with the goal to collect as much trash as possible.

25th Annual Shoreline Cleanup Event - Volunteers from across southwest Missouri converge on Table Rock Lake, Lake Taneycomo, and Bull Shoals Lake to clean litter from the shorelines. This event is a 100% volunteer effort for those who care about water quality and keeping our lakes, rivers, streams, and reservoirs clean and healthy.

There will be many projects to choose from and every age is welcome. Together we will make a difference and make our park better for all to enjoy. I hope you can join us for a fun filled day of giving back to our federal lands.

Please help us restore Patoka Lake’s shoreline to its natural state of beauty and cleanliness for wildlife safety and water quality. Bring your family, friends, organizations or coworkers. Dress to pickup trash in the weeds along the highways and shorelines. Gloves, trash bags, and bug spray will be available.

Explore Flagstaff’s first neighborhood at Elden Pueblo. Tours at 10 am, noon and 2 pm, with artifact displays, excavations and hunting games.

We will be painting life jacket loaner stations restrooms and vault toilets, trail maintenance, cleaning flower beds, picking up litter, and other beautification projects. Lunch will be provided as well.

Come out and celebrate National Public Lands Day at New Hogan Lake!

Registration will begin around 8:00 a.m. at the Historic Longmire Gas Station. After a brief welcome at 8:45, participants will divide into work groups including trails, revegetation, campground upkeep, and other projects. Volunteers should come prepared for any kind of weather, with warm clothing, rain gear, sturdy footwear, and gloves. Sunglasses, sunscreen, and hats are also recommended. Volunteers should also bring water, snacks, and a lunch. Entrance fees are waived on National Public Lands Day.

Buckhorn Lake NPLD event will include, rec area enhancement wildlife habitat building, and public area cleanup.

The Moab Field Office and the Red Rock 4-Wheelers will join forces to effect a repair to the Lost World Jeep Safari Route.

Planting many native shrubs and flowers in an old depleted borrow pit on Eglin and spreading wildflower seed to help populations of monarch butterflies. Adding soil amendments to help establish all of the plants that are put in the ground.

Bike trail construction in the Mud Springs Area

Volunteers will join Sand Flats staff in improving the popular recreation area located just two miles from Moab, Utah.

Volunteers will float Westwater Canyon in search of trash, weeds and other intrusions.

Delineating the Cliffhanger (Amasa Back) Jeep Trail

This volunteer project is perfect for all age ranges and abilities. We will be doing ice plant removal, watering native violet seedlings, and removing invasive pines. Volunteers are welcome to join us and our partners afterwards for the Celebrate the Coast event.

For the benefit of the Federally-threatened Piping Plover and other shorebirds, volunteers are needed to help clear litter and debris from all areas of Ocean Drive between the North Gate, and the Oso Bay bridge. This area is adjacent to important shorebird habitat. The cleanup will prevent litter, trash, and debris from disrupting the piping plover and other shorebirds using the coastal sand-flat habitat.

Plant a living hedge, trees, and other plants to help enhance military training area at Rees Training Center.

Learn and participate in riparian restoration at Camp Rilea. Participants will help plant alder trees and other native plants along the river to improve pollinator habitat, enhance installation resilience through erosion control, restore a historically significant ecosystem, and manage valuable natural resources.

The BIAK Route Rehabilitation would focus on the decommissioning of illegal routes and reestablishment of native plant communities in the BIAK Training area near Highway 126, East of Redmond Oregon.

As an official site of the Grand County Interagency NPLD Event the BLM will be partnering again with Protect Our Rivers (protectourrivers.org) for the Upper Colorado River 16th Annual River Cleanup and trail work. The Blue Blaze Festival is a celebration of the trail, whether you are a Trail Runner, Hiker or would like to learn more about backpacking you are welcome to be a part of our celebration of the Buckeye Trail. Join us for the 2025 Buckeye Trail (BT) Blue Blaze Festival and explore the diversity and beauty of the outdoors. This year we will be joining forces with Destination Shawnee, the Tecumseh Theater and outdoor recreational organizations to bring together runners, hikers and outdoor enthusiasts to the Village of Shawnee. This section of the Buckeye Trail, in the Wayne National Forest, is mostly single-track trail and provides some very challenging terrain.

Active conservation of endangered species at JBLM is an important part of not only stewarding a healthy and resilient ecosystem, but in providing military training flexibility to promote mission readiness. This year's National Public Lands Day event will help restore habitat for Federally Endangered Taylor's checkerspot butterflies, as well as several species of rare native birds, bees, and bats. Join our biologists for a work party and ecological tour at Clear Creek Prairie, where will be conducting post-fire brush removal, installing mason bee blocks, and building new purple martin nest towers and bat roost boxes.
