The 120 million private sector employees in the United States can play a critical role in reducing waste, increasing energy and water efficiency, and taking other actions to help achieve workplace sustainability goals. According to recent survey research conducted by GreenBiz in partnership with NEEF and PwC, 73% of respondents indicated that their company is educating employees across the organization about its corporate sustainability goals.
NEEF has helped companies integrate employee education and engagement to align sustainability goals and day-to-day operations, while also improving their bottom line. Through its Business Sustainability Educational Roundtable, NEEF engaged leading companies, including Kimberly-Clark, Johnson & Johnson, Intel and others, to share and develop best practices on employee engagement.
Our report, "Toward Engagement 2.0: Creating a More Sustainable Company through Employee Engagement," marked the launch of a partnership between NEEF and GreenBiz Group on employee engagement. As part of the partnership, GreenBiz Group is publishing research on employee engagement trends, featuring exemplary examples of employee engagement programs and offering regular news and expert opinion on the topic.
